What is Dominican Community Connections?

The goal of “Dominican Community Connections,” our parent volunteer organization, is to do exactly what name the states: connect the St. Agnes-St. Dominic community! By creating an atmosphere where everyone feels valued and important to the school, from PK2-12^th grade, we create a community that we are all proud to be a part of.

At SAA-SDS we prioritize relationships, and we want to partner with our families to build those bonds. Connectionsprovides opportunities for all parents, regardless of schedules or lifestyles, to be involved. There is truly something for everyone! For parents who do not have time to volunteer in person, no problem!  There are always sweet treats that can be sent in and other chances to support the campus when you cannot be physically present.  

There are many ways to grow our community and there are involvement opportunities at all levels. You can contribute by:

Supporting other families through our Angel ministry, Buddy Family program, Grandparents’ Day, and various social events.

Supporting our teachers by contributing treat donations, participating in faculty/staff appreciation month, or covering Upper School homeroom periods.

Supporting our students through many activities such as volunteering as a room parent, helping at Fall Fest, or assisting with Field Day.

Supporting the Admissions and Development Departments at the school by volunteering at open houses and our many exciting fundraising events.

Supporting other vital departments on campus by volunteering in the library, working gates and concessions for the Athletic Department, or helping in our Spirit Shop during busy seasons.

As we are learning to navigate around the coronavirus, we are bringing back more and more opportunities for on-campus involvement. Also on tap are new opportunities for just our dads to participate, so stay tuned!
